OPEN POSITION: Roadwork/Fencing – Estimator
Estimator needed with a strong knowledge of Roadwork and Fencing projects. Must know how to procure projects to bid, estimate and prepare complete take offs from plans uploaded into estimating software, ensure inclusion of the projects scope of work, secure pricing from material suppliers and present general contractors with highly developed estimate proposals and meet their scheduled bid dates. This is a full scope position involving the estimation, follow-up, negotiation and successful completion of each carpentry project. An ability to work in a sometimes hurried environment. Proficiency with ‘Viewpoint ProContractor’ estimating software is a plus or the ability to learn it in a short amount of time along with also being proficient at MS Office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of carpentry estimating experience; project size $500,000 - $10 million.
- Strong plan comprehension and analytical skills; attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; we will train for ProContractor software.
